God isnt real and i have never really believed in him. Some people say it was God because only the religious buildings survived in most places but this is not true. Most places hit were where poor people live so they only had poorly built homes. The Mosks and Churches were made with alot of effort and money as they were sacred places. God isnt coming and neither is Jesus. If they are doing this to punish us they would have done it a loooong time ago believe me.
The video was very good because they werent stupid they were genally scared and worried. Most of the other videos people just wanted footage of it and were watching as if it was fun! If it was me i would have been long gone.

How can all of you sit there and accuse God of not being real or accuse the bible of being a fictional book. God doesnt do these things to people. Nature and man himself do these things to people. God is there with open arms to welcome his children home and to offer comfort, solace and peace to those who have true faith in him and who have contrite and gentle spirits. Instead of wasting time trying to find someone or something to blame, get up off your complacent butts and send some relief to those affected by these natural disasters or send money to the organizations that are helping. If you want things to be taken care of then get off your butt, and put in some of your own elbow grease towards fixing the worlds issues, disasters, and mistakes. And on a rather snide note and may God forgive me for saying this, if you INSIST on bringing down God and his followers, at least get an education and learn how to spell so it doesnt take fellow readers an hour to decipher your text.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. It's getting tiring. The bible isn't autobiographical, it's not even biographical, in fact it's not even really historical. To me it's propoganda, a book of fiction probably written by Shakespeare (King James version - King Henry the something was in power about that time and his most famous and favorite scribe was William - and Shakespeare smoked pot, god bless him on that one) but like some books it does have some good points. I like Jesus, and I think he was a great teacher. In fact, even in the Koran and the Muslim religion he's regarded as a prophet. You have to give cred to man who's influenced reached out that far.
As for the scripture, I think you people just spurt the shite out without even really understanding what it means. Above all, Jesus knew how to love in total. Everything, including Osama Bin Laden, Hezbollah, Adolf Hitler, etc. These in fact were and are men, who made some did some pretty horrendous and drastic things...sometimes under the influence of religion and other times under the influence of power. Most importantly these people don't love themselves, and thats where a man like Jesus Christ can do some good.
I will tell you one thing I do know for a 100% fact. Jesus is not going to rebuild Sumatra and the other parts devastated by the Tsunami. He's not going to make a surprise visit and heal the sick and wounded and he's not going to take the orphaned children in. It's going to take mankind, whether you are a budhhist (like most of the people hit by the tsunamis), a muslim, or a christian, it will take love, compassion, and sacrifice...all things embraced by Jesus but often forgotten by his flock who get caught up in the words and arguements. Give money

Subject: FROM A FELLOW SINNER
the Bible was written by human beings .Obviously God didn't throw down black bibles raining down from heaven. But these human beings were writing with God's Holy Spirit guiding them.
"For above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." (2Peter1:21) ..
God has been "patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. but the day of the Lord will come like a thief" (2Peter3:9-10).
... "ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through Jesus" (Romans3:23).... ALL have sinned including me ;) and that's why I need God's grace & that's why I am a Christian.... JESUS SAID: "IN THIS WORLD YOU *WILL* HAVE TROUBLE. BUT TAKE HEART! FOR I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD." (John 16:33). God is patient with you. He did not give up on you despite all your rejections, so why should you give up on Him? Christians are definitely not perfect but that is no reason to reject Christ. I repeat again -- some Christians may have pissed you off before, but that is no reason to reject Christ. Christians are imperfect. Christ is not. And JESUS LOVES YOU.

The bible wasnt written by god, it was written by a bunch of unknown people over a period of about 500 years, I personally dont trust that.
Furthermore, this video was very interesting, showing the tradgedy of the great tsunami, and how it affected the people involved. I hope that people and their families do what they can do make it through this disaster.

You have a book that tells you the answers? What book do I have, nothing? Are you drunk? If the bible gives you answers then you, my friend, are not asking questions. And I have, oh, about three hundred books written by people who have used critical thought to form conclusions. What the hell is wrong with you?

This video is one of the best I have seen so far. The wave isn't as big as you may expect, but the volume of water - it just keeps coming and coming.
Being a keen surfer I can understand that people wouldn't have even thought the wave would continue to the shore and further - it just didn't seem big enough. There must have been an enourmous amout of water behind the wave - watch the vid and see for yourself.
I give this 5 stars.
As for the religious debate - I dont believe in GOD and I'm still here!

All your Reviews are crap. Wake up and realize that the world never started from adam and his red apple lover and further more the world only exist for humans. Do you all relize what went on how it started and what the final outcome was. I like the stories of survival. The survival stories show us what people do under there cicumstances. Tribes of many decence rely on nature to show them somethings wrong and survive, the rest winge about how much warning thay never had or could of had. Try Undersand whats around you in your local area and work with it. Religion helps people deal with the unknown. Religion doesnt teach hope and love It's the person inside does. My hart goes out to everyones whos involved and a say to them try to keep ya chin up.

Obviously you didnt try and understand what I was saying.
I dont like other people saying that these people are responsible for what happen to them, or that they deserved it for not following 'The correct religion'.
That is why I got annoyed.
Also, since when has using the word 'fuck' been a involved with any kind of science?
I used 'foul language' to express my seriousness of how hurtfull comments like that can be.
I was voicing my opinion of this situation using the logical explaination given to us all.
I am not trying to force my opinions on people, I just took an agressive approach to theories that are heartless and hurtfull to the victims of the Tsunami disaster.
Read Felix_merc's comments on the 8th of Jan 2005 and tell me you do not feel angered or anoyed by it.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I am not 'having a go' at him, just what he said.

God_Does_Not_Exist has only one good point in all that he wrote. This had nothing to fdo with God and we should all feel remorse for the family's. Other than that his post is worthless.
If anyone needs to shut up and stop pushing their views on someone its him. For a man of science you have a pretty foul mouth.
Everyone has there own beliefs such as Creation by God or the belief of Evolution but that has no place here. We all know what caused this to happen its not brain surgery. Whatever you have against religion is your problem and downfall but its a free world so iggnorance as you call is your choice. Arrogance wise your the only one here who has shown arrogance for supposedly knowing the truth to everything.

It seems like people have just lost their minds. Instead of showing support to those who have lost their lives, they are making this into a religous or anti religous issue. Instead of trying to crdit God, man, nature, or trying to amplify the futlity of life, people need to realize that hunderds of thousands of people are gone. Families have been torn apart, and children are homeless orphans. Also, as a christian, I am ashamed at peolple saying that this is God's punishment. They are God's children too, and should be recognized as such.

Seer,
You are mistaken, read Amos 3:6-7:
"When the war trumpet blares, shouldn't the people be alarmed? When disaster comes to a city, isn't it because the LORD planned it? But always, first of all, I warn you through my servants the prophets. I, the Sovereign LORD, have now done this."
God warns people, people don't listen and they end up perishing.
We must all repent and seek God first and obey Him or we will all perish.

Subject: Act of Nature
Subject: Act of Nature
The Earth is a dynamic environment - ever changing, and shifting. The earthquake in the Indian Ocean, and resulting tsunami, was a Natural Disaster, not an act of God. People have always found themselves victimized by random events brought on by harsh weather, earthly shifts, and volcanic eruptions, all throughout history. And for now at least, as long as we inhabit areas where such an event could occur, which is pretty much anywhere on the planet at any given time, we can expect them to continue.
No, a true act of God would have been for 150,000 men, women, and children to have suddenly dropped dead at the same time... for no apparent reason; or for me to drop dead before finishing this sentence - for what some may consider blasphemy.
The truth is, while we are in the physical, most of us are limited in what we can understand about why bad things happen to good people, especially to children. You can't say that all those precious children who lost their lives in the tsunami, or that will die from disease related to it, were evil; or criminal, or were being punished for the misdeeds of their parents. You could assume that they were collectively paying some Karmic debt, but the only thing you can say for sure is that; regrettably, they were in the path of a deadly tsunami.
We are spiritual beings having physical experiences for the purpose of the evolution of consciousness. And the beauty of it is; it does not matter that some of you will not grasp this concept right away, or even in this life. We are a planetary race, and as we grow, we will become more aware of our intrinsic connectedness to one another, and all things. As the vibratory rate of human consciousness reaches a critical mass, a shift will occur. It is likely at this time, most of us will have the ability to sense when danger is approaching, and these types of catastrophic events will no longer cause such great human loss.
Until that time arrives, instead of condemning those who have suffered from an Act of Nature, try to understand how it is that you were unable to sense it somewhere in your own being, prior to it's occurrence.

Repent sinners! The Tsunami was a device from God, to chastise all sinners who choose to worship false images and idols. The divine Lord has given the fornicators a small lesson of what is about to come, if the worldly people do not repent for their sins and crimes.

This one was amazing--really shows just how devastating this thing was. I keep thinking I'm going to see that "tidal wave," and am always shocked that so much damage is done without it! It's just not comprehendible until you see these videos. I can never understand the people you see standing on the ground hanging about in these videos, but the ones that are up relatively high like these two were I can understand. You'd feel relatively safe and out of harms way. It was refreshing to finally see videographers be real people, and say--"Shit--we've got to get out of here!"
